How to Raise A Healthy Child in Spite of Your Doctor

A book by Robert Mendelsohn, MD and priced at $11.

Don’t be put off by the obnoxious title. This is a great book about things you can do at home to help keep your child comfortable and safe during acute illness.

Each chapter has a quick reference summary making it easy to find information about when to wait and when to take your child to the doctor, what to look for as signs and signals of something more serious as opposed to common complaints that should be no cause for alarm.

The book is older, but Dr. Mendelsohn was definitely on the forefront of calling for sensible, moderated and appropriate use of conventional interventions.

This reference book is a gem for families.
