| My Practice My practice consists of adults and children from all walks of life. Some people consult me looking to increase their level of health primarily because of physical complaints, while others symptoms are mostly emotional or behavioral, many have elements of both. I am primarily focused on constitutional homeopathy, meaning I am working with people to reduce their overall level of susceptibility and increase their health over the long term. Chronic conditions, such as allergies, skin conditions, digestive disorders, asthma, etc. are best helped homeopathically with constitutional care. Mental, emotional and behavioral difficulties, such as memory loss, attention disorders, anxiety, depression, obsessive/compulsive behavior, anger and violent behavior, etc. are also best helped by constitutional care. I certainly do see acute conditions ones that tend to last a short period of time and resolve on their own with more or less suffering. Homeopathy can stimulate the system to speed recovery in these cases, like colds, flus, sore throats, injuries, etc. Acutes may also include things like bladder infections, sinus complaints, skin outbreaks, ear infections, etc., however when conditions tend to recur, this is due to an underlying susceptibility and is best dealt with constitutionally. I practice classical homeopathy, which means I find a single remedy that is best suited to the condition, give it and watch for the response without giving other remedies simultaneously. As best as possible, I encourage people to keep other factors that might affect the symptoms to a minimum so that we can assess what the remedy has affected with clarity. The practice of classical homeopathy is laid out in Samuel Hahnemanns text The Organon of Medicine, and I use this as a primary reference in my practice. I love people, I love interacting with them, connecting with them. This is part of the reason I left my career as a chemist and embraced homeopathy. I feel a deeply rewarding satisfaction in being able to support others in healing and growing, it heals me and helps me grow. I believe that the remedy alone is not the only stimulus to healing that can come out of consultation with a homeopath. The process of homeopathy and the relationship with a homeopath can be healing as well. In choosing a homeopath I recommend that people find someone they feel comfortable with, someone they feel a resonance with. Its easier to tell the homeopath the things they need to know if you feel truly comfortable with them. Its also helpful to find out things that the relationship will entail, such as: How available are they? What fees do they charge and what is included for those fees? What is their level of training and experience? I am available for consultations in person in Los Gatos, CA and in Santa Cruz, CA. In person consultations are preferable, although I will do phone consultations where this is not possible. I am available to answer questions about homeopathy, my practice, fees and working together by phone or e:mail. The services I offer fall under California SB-577 which allows practice of alternative and complementary healing arts which are conducted in accordance with the bill. I am not a physician. Homeopathy is a healing art that is not licensed in the state of California.
